Mummy Makeovers are a great way to get your body back into shape after having children. While diet and exercise can do so much, surgery can help put things back into place, remove stubborn fat deposits, and have you looking like your years younger. But first, you’ll need to ask your surgeon some important questions…

What do other mums get in the mummy makeover?

If you’re doing a Mummy Makeover, then you may as well make it worth your while. Combining surgeries at once can save you money on the total cost of your makeover. Asking your surgeon what the top surgeries are for other mums might inspire you a little. Because surgery is a strenuous thing to go through, and takes some time out of your busy life, getting everything done at once is often a clever option.

What happens if I have another child?

This is a popular question with mums when it comes to their Mummy Makeovers. Generally, women who are undergoing a Mummy Makeover are quite certain they won’t’ have any more children, however, you don’t really know what could happen down the track! If you become a mum again then your body will go through the same sort of changes as last time you were pregnant. If you’re planning on having more kids still, it might be better to hold off on surgery until you’re done. If you have an unplanned baby in the future, you may need to come back for some touch ups.

How long before I’ll be able to go back to work?

If you’re a working mum (and many of us are!), then it is a good idea to ask how long it will be before you can return to work, especially if you are relying on your income to help pay the bills. Depending on the procedures that you have done, you may be home from work from anywhere between a week and 4 weeks. Check with your surgeon to see your time frame.

How long before I’ll be able to pick my kids up and play with them properly?

If your children are still young, then you already know that they can be a handful – or an armful! Getting back to being all the mum that you need to may be your priority number 1. Depending on the type of surgery that you have, though, you might need to take things pretty easy for a bit. Ask your surgeon when you can have full play and carrying responsibilities again.
